Will HF19 be nerfed? Does it even need to be?
As many have noticed today, the profits on many of your posts or comments are significantly higher than it was last night. You were among a great majority that felt like this.
This was done in an effort to "equalize" the whales with the minnows, and we sure can see the results. For myself, I found myself posting more than ever, and this is reflected in the Steemit Blockchain, which has revealed a three times higher "transaction" log than was indicated just yesterday. I was posting in an effort to make more money, and as I am fully powered up, these posts were extremely productive! But more importantly, I now found an incentive to find new material and provide insightful commentary.
Some suppose that this will be short lived, and as in the case of the movie "office Space", someone missplaced a zero somewhere.
I however find that we the steemit community do not need a nerf, as the incentive of producing more money would inhibit people from leaving, supported by the inherently brilliant 3 month inhibition on powering down.
It is easy to convince others to join Steem and show them a select few posts that are extremely productive, but when many posts can have that same opportunity, without the necessity of whales, it is even more appealing.
No more "if you find a whale you can make big money", now anyone has that opportunity!!

You think they would of tested the algorithms better to know for sure how much this would increase voting power for minnows. I sure hope it's not nerfed.

What you said is true @extrospect but I am worried about the market collapsing as there will be a lot of users selling their SBD thus bringing the overall price of SBD down
The people seem to have more incentive in converting the SBD to steem power then they do to dollars with this patch. So much wealth production capability makes people more likely to convert than sell, in my estimation anyways.
