Just because something is called a weed and behaves like one doesn't mean it is not pretty.
Asphodelus aka Onionweed
It must have been 3 years ago or 4 that I saw this plant rowing everywhere in spring. And I mean EVERYWHERE!! This is the small type, not taller than 30 cm. There are some that are my height too - so gorgeous. And let me tell you... if I had those big ones in my imaginary garden, I would keep them and grow them like any other bulb flower.
But back to 3 years ago. I saw them blooming in very early spring, like now and I decided to take some home. They will disappear as soon as the grass around lawns is cut, but also because they go completely dormant in summer. I dug up few little plantlets from the side of the road and planted in a pot. They bloom for me every year, now they got bigger pot and the leaves look so nice and lush. There is absolutely no problems with them - no pests, no soil requirements, not picky about heat or little water. Weeds know how to survive, right? Not like those picky flowers that will die if you look at them too much :P
Besides that look at those flowers! Aren't the just lovely. Tiny, little white stars.
I like my weed (however it may sound) and will treat it as any other plant on my balcony.

What a tender, tiny and gorgeous beauty! Amazing flower and excellent shots!
We still have a smow here, but now I will look closer when spring comes over :)

That is so beautiful!! I don't believe in weeds, only misplaced flowers. It is lovely and I hope you have it for many more lifetimes.

Oh so true! Just cause they grow in the wild doesn't make them less pretty :)
Sometimes, I find that growing in the wild makes them prettier as they take on many things already in the landscape.

I liked these "weeds" as they are commonly called!
But I do not agree with this name, I prefer the "wild flowers" :-))
Wild flowers sounds a lot better! :)
Yes, I agree!
Oh! Very sweet, just like a painting!
