I was looking at my recent posts and they are all kind of... sad. All the dark and calm colours all over the place. So what better way to cheer up the place a bit than with some bright, yellow wildflowers.
They do grow everywhere and bloom nearly all year round. And besides pink it must be the most popular colour in my flower folders.
Dittrichia viscosa
It can grow pretty tall and after the flowers are gone it just stands there with stems covered in fluffy seeds.
Calendula
Will appear in spring in every bit of uncut grass. Hundreds and hundreds of yellow daisies.
Oxalis
Even bigger weed than the previous Calendula. This thing will grow everywhere! I even had some sprouting in my pots. I dont really mind. They can stay here if they learn to coexist wit the plants I want to grow. Pretty little leaves, pretty yellow flowers. What's not to like?
