Playing hard to get

Carpenter bees are just so pretty!
Very big, shiny with iridescent wings. And also very hard to get. They move fast and don't stay long on oneflower. Few seconds and they are gone. I keep trying, but they are playing hard to get.

This one came to visit a peach tree that I was admiring and this is the only good shot I got. I cant even dream of getting their faces

Some other day I saw one flying near a lawn. I don't think there is as many of them around as regular bumblebees. Those are so much easier to get.
The poor Oxalis flowers bend so low under the weight of those beasts. They are like little black choppers :p
