One of the best orchid buys I did.
Two years ago I saw this orchid standing all together with other more common ones in a supermarket. It doesn't happen often that they do have something else than the large Phalaenopsis ones. That time they had all kinds of different types (something that didn't happen ever since). And this yellow beauty was the only ones.
Of course I grabbed it!

The canes on this one are a lot thinner than on the usual Dendrobium Nobile. I image that it would love to have them just hanging down. But I don't have space for that, so I stake them up as the grow. It also looks nice this way when it blooms.
It is such an easy growing one that I want to have other colours. There is a dark orange, white and purple/white one too. One day I will catch them all!.

The flowers is what I like the most of course. The thinner petals and dark red veins look just so pretty and delicate. And of course it is fragrant during the day which is a plus. Nothing super intensive... just a nice floral scent.
This year I got about 5-6 canes blooming so I have a nice bouquet to look at.
Another 6 little ones is starting o grow, so next year it should be even better!.
