My mum's gardens changes with seasons. At the end of spring it is taken over by all kinds of poppies. The usual smaller ones, giant orange ones, and those full ones that look like carnations.
The lower is the size of an orange and when they bloom it is like a field of red, fluffy pom poms. I haven't seen ones like that before and was shooting and shooting like crazy. Good the place is surrounded by bushes so neighbors don't think I've gone mad or something.
The coolest part about them, besides the overall look and super soft, fluffy petals, is that they don't need any special care. They will produce seeds, spread them on a windy day and will wait though Autumn and freezing cold winter, to sprout on their own in spring again.
