Maybe it wont seem as such when it look so pretty feeding on a flower, but the bugger can lay so many eggs, that all the caterpillars will eat the cabbage you grow for your own din din!
I found those butterflies among others on a large lavender bush that my mum has in her garden. As soon the sun comes up it will filled with butterflies, bees and moths feeding on it. A real treasure for a pseudo photographer like me that just likes to shoot stuff and bugs. I could spend half of the day there watching them and trying to catch the best angle.
And let me tell you... I hate butterflies and moths! But all this time spent so close to them makes me hate them a little less :p
