The storm is gone and the weather got so surprising calm. On top of that we had fog for the past two days which makes everything even more sleepy and quiet. This finally got us go to see the Christmas lights and take some shots. I only saw them from the car when passing by. Now up close and personal they are even better.
The big, round circles filled with tiny lamps that were slowly changing colours. Nothing blingy and in your face. Nice and calm...
The lights, the fog and the darkens... oh it was just marvelous! I don't think people minded.. or even saw me ;)
The walk has the bay on one side and the old town on the other. The bay walk at some point got full of people enjoying the decorations, roasted chestnuts and other snacks.. but just turn your heave and you will see those little streets completely empty. As if they were forgotten...
It was also the first time I actually tried to shoot outside during the night. The mount of blurry, too dark or just generally bad shots at the start was very discouraging... but slowly I got the hang of the setting (I have manual settings on, just the focus it on Auto) and the almost 3h payed off and I brought home some really nice shots. And I finally saw the City Christmas Tree up close too!... a little teaser ;) I will show it another time, cause that is another pile of shots.
