The last sunset on the old shore

in #photography7 years ago

In Veliky Ustyug in 2016 there was a severe flood in the last 20 years, many people suffered. To protect the city from such terrible disasters, it was decided to strengthen the shore and build a flood control dam. In the center of the city, shore protection has already been made, but it continues to this day and moves further along the bank of the Sukhona River.

Appears tasteless shore of the plates. You can understand people and there is no point in arguing about the practical application of this structure, but from the aesthetic side, the beautiful bank of the river is gradually disappearing.

Maybe for someone it will sound strange, but for someone it does not matter at all, but these shots have already gone down in history and the shore will not be like that.

And there will be no trees here!

Yes, and here too there will be plates...

Like here.

Work on the disfigurement of the coast has already begun...

Beautiful photos and interesting story! Yes, everything has two sides and my heart would feel divided too. This is protecting the people you love but destroying not only the few but a part of the nature.
Difficult. Nice post though!!

thanks for sharing keep it up
