Sukhona before ice drift in Krasavino

Northern Dvina flows in the town of Krasavino, and Sukhona flows near the village of Krasavino. We always confuse these two settlements, we have to specify either the city/village, or Sukhona/Dvina.

Krasavino is a small village on the bank of the Sukhona River, located on a high hill. Just downstream, the Luzhenga River flows into the Sukhona. This settlement can be reached by asphalt road.

And a little further around the bend there is the Myakolitsa nature monument, where I still can’t get to. The geological exposure of Myakolitsa is located on the opposite bank of the river and is not close to it from all sides. Need a boat or you need to walk for a very long time along the forest road. Someday I will definitely get to this place and tell you about it.

Before the ice drift, nature seems to freeze, waiting for the last stage of its reincarnation shortly before turning into summer.

Places here are little studied by me. In this place I was only a few times and each time I can not fully explore this area until the end.

And there is something to learn! Abandoned villages and nature. History and Sukhona beauty... antiquity.

In the village of Krasavino there are fivewalls - large one-story private wooden old houses.

The Sukhona Beauty Festival is held annually in this small village, where folk ensembles and folklore groups perform. But I'm more interested in abandoned villages, of which there are a lot of nearby. Although at the festival I would not refuse to go once.
