The arrival of seagulls is a special joy for the inhabitants of Veliky Ustyug. All the bread is bought in the shops nearest to the Embankment and fed to seagulls.

And those in turn are happy that its are fed - ice still covers the surface of the water and they can not get fish.

This year, again, mostly marsh black-headed gulls flew in, but there are also many classic gulls.

I personally already fed, probably three loaves of bread. An exciting game is to throw a slice of bread right into your mouth.

The real madness begins, when you look through the telephoto lens: people, seagulls, pigeons, architecture - everything is mixed and some kind of pattern is obtained.

Soon the river will go and when the water is exposed, the gulls will have a way to get their food, and then they will disappear from the embankment.

It remains to rejoice in the black-headed feathered screamers very little, then they can be found only along the banks of rivers.

Only pigeons will remain in the city, but this is completely different.
