Poldarsa in autumn

In the spring of 2017, I discovered an amazing place in the village of Poldarsa of the Veliky Ustyug district of the Vologda region. This is a place at the mouth of the river Poldarsa, which in a few tens of meters flows into the river Sukhona. It is surprising that there are steep banks with outcrops of rocks of the Permian period, but in miniature. And there is also a bridge over the river, built between two steep banks.

Since the discovery of this place for myself, I have been here many times in different seasons. It was even at the time of the flood, when the water almost touched a wooden bridge.

This time I drove to this place in the fall. To get to the bridge, you need to go down through a small forest by a wooden staircase, which already offers a beautiful view.

The bridge was replaced with a new one last year, which at the same time pleased and no. The old one was dilapidated and dangerous for passage, but it looked very colorful.

From the bridge you can see how the Poldarsa river, sandwiched among the rocky shores, overcomes the last meters before merging with the big river Sukhona.

The steepness of the Poldarsa coast closer to Sukhona decreases.

Now the goal has appeared to visit here at different times of the day and shoot this landscape at night or at dawn. Judging by my frequent visits to this place and attachment to it, we can safely say that such frames will soon appear!

Honestly, such an idea came to me right now, while writing this post.

Autumn can embellish any place.

Even one that doesn’t need much embellishment.
