Oshta–Vytegra

Usually, two names of settlements, located through a dash, denote a route, that is, an interval, a segment of the path. That's right, we are talking about some kind of journey in which such settlements as Oshta and Vytegra are involved.

What do we know about these two places? Oshta is a village in the Vytegorsky district of the Vologda region, but Vytegra is a regional center of the same name. But since Oshta is in the first place, then this is the starting point of the route.

We think further! If a photojournalist of a regional newspaper has visited such a place, then some event happened (or is still happening). No, of course, as a freelancer or a regular landscape photographer, I could also go there, but the title of the post indicates the section of the path, not the settlements separately.

If the information indicates an interval of the path, then something happened exactly on it. The question is what? Crash? It is unlikely that I would have gone there because of an ordinary accident. Major accident? Photographing would be handled by local regional media or the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies. It means not an accident. But what do we start with bad things right away? Maybe something good happened?

Or maybe it was bad at first, but then it became good? Yes something like that. I will not languish for a long time and I will say already, otherwise the fourth paragraph has gone, and we are all around the bush.

Oshta is located on the Vytegra–St. Petersburg highway, and this road is very terrible in terms of quality. In the spring, SUVs got stuck here, literally stuck in the slurry. Now it, of course, was poured with sand and gravel, which slightly reduced the time spent on overcoming the section of about 60 km.

Well, what did you want, because the Oshta-Vytegra highway is located almost at the very shore of Lake Onega from its northern part. Here is a low-lying area, swamps.

But soon it will be an excellent paved road all the way to St. Petersburg!

And besides, not all 60 km are in this condition. Almost the entire road is asphalted and only a small section is bad.

The road has been under repair for a long time.

And there is something to see here, I assure you!

So, what conclusion can be drawn? A more or less extraordinary text to completely boring reportage photos - a way to treat us to ordinary pasta with an unusual sauce.

Have I few photos and nothing to post? On the contrary, there is a lot of much more interesting material, so why all this? It's simple: I'm bored and I decided in this way not just to have fun, but to train my brain what it is capable of in such situations.
