Nizhny Priluk. Village owners

in #travel5 years ago

Nizhny Priluk - a village in the Veliky Ustyug district of the Vologda region. It is part of the Mardenga rural settlement. The distance by road to the regional center of Veliky Ustyug is 35 km, to the center of the municipality of the village of Annunciation - 18 km.

The villages on the Sukhona River have always attracted me with their ancient appearance and originality. Their facades are facing the river, houses are located along the picturesque coast, there is always something very interesting nearby - that is why this time I chose the Nizhny Priluk! This often happens when you ride, you drive past a sign with a name of village and you don’t even suspect that you are hiding behind a bend. And there are just miracles!

The road to the village turned out to be quite good, so much so that you can drive on any car. But at first glance you won’t say it: a steep descent, sharp turns, then again a slight rise and all this became muddy after the autumn rains.

On the descent down, houses in the village briefly appear, as if showing an announcement of what awaits me, and then the buildings again disappear behind the forest. If you weren’t initially impressed, then you can stop walking, but if you’re hooked, then please continue on. But I never judge by the first impression, therefore, whatever it seems to me, I still go to watch.

I like the villages in Sukhona in that they are more likely to see real masterpieces of wooden architecture.

Huge pyatistenki with carved balconies and platbands, sometimes, stand in their original form.

The streets in Nizhny Priluk are not broken by cars and therefore completely clean.

Birdhouse.

Baths stand here by the forest.

I like such views when houses stretch along a street in a string.

In Nizhny Priluk, houses just stand exactly on one line.

From afar I am met by a local keeper - a black dog named "Black".

The dog at first persistently tried to drive me away, but we quickly became friends with him.

Then the hostess went out to see who had disturbed her guard.

Met, talked. A woman came here from Vorkuta to live here permanently. I ask, what prompted her to come to such a wild land? She says that it is quiet and beautiful, and most importantly, not fierce north and not sultry south. Often, children and grandchildren come to her for the summer, call back to the big city, but the she flatly refuses: “There is no open land here!”

Tatyana Mikhailovna has a very subtle sense of nature, she knows well the habits of local animals and birds.

I found out for myself an interesting folk sign: until the last leaf from the lilac falls, there will be no snow!

This village stands a little further from Sukhona, but from a high hill, the distances are still clearly visible.

Walking around the village a little more.

I photograph houses and streets.

And go down to the river.

Before reaching the shore, I heard the sound of water.

Here the creek flows into Sukhona.

I immediately notice that it flows here quite recently, because a current managed to make only a small depression in the ground.

And a little further - a deep ditch, but there is no stream.

Walking around a little more, I conclude that the channel of the stream has been changed artificially.

Someone didn’t want people to drive ashore here on cars.

Perhaps this was an attempt to preserve the rapidly collapsing driveway to the nearby village of Backwater.

To be continued...

I dunno why but I really like the houses :)

What a beautiful place for a village! I love the wooden houses, and I love the lilac tree lore. Now I'll be watching for that.

I glad to be helpful
