Dilapidated Vologda. Zavokzalny microdistrict–1

The Zavokzalny microdistrict in Vologda has borders along the following streets: Mozhaysky – Marshal Konev – Sergey Preminin – Poshekhonsky highway. It is located near the railway crossing the city and the railway station, respectively.

On the streets of Bolognina, Osanovskaya and Mozhaysky there are many shabby wooden houses of the barracks type.

Yard spaces in such places are radically different from the yards of multi-storey buildings.

Here everything is different: light, atmosphere, attitude, perception, even a picture I want to make better. Therefore, I remove the old yards from a tripod.

It is good that Vologda also preserved such large and long sheds. I did not hope to see them here at all.

Old car tires are used as flower beds.

And here the tires play the role of fencing the roadway from the playground.

In the old quarters there are all their inherent elements: garages, sheds, old tires, drying clothes. All this in the compartment looks very attractive to create the appropriate atmosphere.

There are no bad places in the space around us. Some were created by nature, some we ourselves did. You can only accept or not accept this or that space, a corner of the earth. And if you do not like, for example, such old courtyards, then this does not mean that everyone else does not like them.

A long barn beyond repair.

It seems to have been destroyed for a long time, but no one is going to demolish it.

Drying clothes is for me a reference element in such yards.

In general, any rhythms, no matter what they are made of, will always give dynamics to the frame.

I wonder what will be my next level in the knowledge of space?

If I can already accept and love any place on earth, then what will be next?

The only thing you need to photograph any places in certain conditions. Each place has its own way of photographic transmission. For dilapidated housing and courtyards, I chose a night with street lights on.

The night has always been distinguished by its mystical atmosphere. And street light, due to the difference in color temperature, creates a fight between warm and cold.
