Cathedral Courtyard pt.2

The cathedral courtyard in Veliky Ustyug occupies a large area in the center of the city. On the territory of the courtyard are many infrastructure facilities. In the Assumption Cathedral there is the Central District Library, in the Church of Procopius the Righteous there are divine services, in the church of the Epiphany there is a museum exhibition center, in the church of Ioann Ustyugsky once was a sports school.

On the bell tower of the Assumption Cathedral you can go up and see the views of the city.

On the day of St. Procopius the Righteous, there is a bell ringing festival every year. The best bell-ringers of Russia come to Veliky Ustyug, so that the city will be filled with a ringing overflow of bells.

Next to the Assumption Cathedral is the Father Frost's shop and Father Frost's Post.

On the Cathedral Square there is a monument to the trailblazer Semyon Dezhnev, in honor of which the Dezhnev Strait is named.

The strangest thing that is on the territory of the Cathedral courtyard is the Tuberculous Dispensary! Yes, yes, this is not a typo! In the center of the city, where many tourist sites, where the most visited building across the road is in winter, the Father Frost Store - tuberculous patients are treated nearby!

Once I somehow managed to even visit the roof of the church of St. Ioann of Ustyug.

The church was restored and workers forgot to remove the stairs, and I took advantage of the moment. It was scary, because the roof was damp and slippery. But all has managed.
