Where It All Started

I don’t believe I have ever shared self portraits from this era, I didn’t even know I had any at my disposal, but I just randomly came across this one. I know I have some saved on a hard drive but it refuses to open on my Macbook so I need to borrow someones PC and try to get access to all those horrible pictures. I know I’ve come a long way with photography. I will definitely share those pictures if I get to them and we can laugh together.

I remember being so proud of this picture when I took it! And I guess it could be worse, the lighting is not actually half bad, but my look is not the greatest. I had this raven hair for about ten years and I miss it sometimes but it made me look soooo pale and I don’t want to put those chemicals on my scalp every month anymore.

I have weight pretty much the same since I was a teenager but I looked way more sickly back then. I guess I now hold myseld up differently, more like a woman.

I think this is around the time I really started to get into photography and taking self portraits, and I shot with that Nikon D60 up until 2017. If I remember correctly, I bought the Nikon D7200 in the spring 2017, a few months prior to joining Steemit. I all aligned perfectly because I was just getting interested in photography again after not doing it for a year or so and then I got this incredible platform to pour it all in to.

Even though I have had some time off photography at times, I’ve done self portraits for well over 10 years. I have no intention of stopping.
