Mementos
Little nicknacks and objects to remember Steemfest and the people in it.
I’m a little hoarder and I love collecting tangible things from trips to later look and reminisce. I save plane tickets, museum tickets, cash, pins, and all sorts of random things. I have trouble remembering and I believe I have early onset dementia, so I need visuals and little objects to reming me.
Most of these items were already on the Steemfest goodiebag, but I did collect quite a few pins from special Steemians. I got myself another pair of @suesa and @reggaemuffin pins, to add to the ones I already got from them this summer when they were visiting Finland. It was so lovely to meet you again, you both give great hugs!
Second special mention goes to @blewitt, the guy who gifted us with comicbooks, and who is a wonderful person all around! If only every American was like you. By the way, can I read the comic or is it a special one that is just supposed to be kept in wraps?
@hiddenblade deserves a mention too, she is the gorgeous girl in those two pins on the bottom left. She wasn’t on Steemfest but had given @llfarms her pins and as soon as I saw them, I snatched a few for myself. I only started following Hiddenblades a few weeks ago, but I’m very impressed with her self portrait work and you should all follow her!
I’m still wearing my Steemfest festival bracelet thingy, and I will be wearing it for a while, I don’t wanna let it go yet. It makes me feel closer to all the people I met and had wonderful times with.
@blewitt is one of the nicest people, never mind Americans, on the blockchain.
The comic in your image is a one-of-a-kind variant cover produced specifically for @blewitt's comic book store, "Conquest Comics." There were 3,000 of these printed, so anyone who has one should definitely hold on to it. It's something special. :)

He did tell me something about the comics, but I think there were a few different kinds and I don’t know what the etiquette with comic books is. I’m definitely gonna hold on to it, that is for sure :)

Oh my! The pins look beautiful! (I actually don’t have the actual pins cos @randomwanderings printed them out in the USA to sell and he shipped it out to LL before she went to Steemfest). Ha, I have mainly the same mementos from SF - I'm wearing my bracelet too, I'm dreading the day it will break (because it's much likely to just become torn and fall on its own). <3 It makes me feel like we're this special, private badass club, you know?

I just removed my bracelet today finally as I was going to a funeral. Otherwise I was going to rock it forever.

Ohhhh I'm the same! I'm keeping these little gifts like HUGE treasures. Which they are. I don't like the bracelet being wet for a while after showering/washing hands so I'll have to find a way to cut the yellow plastic thingy so I can keep the bracelet undamaged :D I'll probably sew it on a t-shirt that I will wear next year ;-) And sew all other on that same shirt from then on :')
That is a fun idea! I think you can get it off undamaged by twisting the ends of the band, that should make the yellow thingy slide off easier.
I'm trying, it doesn't work! I need to hire a professional precision saw man to saw the yellow thingy for me :D
