How to Waste a Day Effectively
I have to say that I have a knack for wasting time when I'm feeling lazy, and yesterday was one of those days. I have some tips if you want to do the same!
First, drink your morning coffee for three hours while browsing the internet, avoid doing anything educational or valuable. Definitely no work stuff! Cat videos, porn, fake news, makeup tutorial, what ever flows your boat.
The next thing I did was go to Ikea with my brother, to get me a coffee table. Which is the first and only table I have in my apartment as of now, but I'll get a kitchen table at some point. You know with Ikea stuff, there is the act of putting it together, YAY. That YAY wasn't sarcastic, I really like putting together the Ikea furniture. Btw, this will be the only thing from Ikea that will come to my new apartment. Even though I think I am really good at building Ikea stuff, it took me some sweet time to get it together. I wasn't paying much attention to the instructions and I was talking with lil bro at the same time, so it actually took me three tries to get it right. If you really want to waste spend time in this, burn the instructions before you start. I didn't feel like doing that because I knew I could waste more time on the next thing.
When I got the coffee table set up, I wanted to make it real pretty with filling the glass enclosed space with beautiful things. First I put in all the coffee table books, of course setting up the Dark Pinup book, by our very own @kommienezuspadt, on top so everyone who would come visit me sees it immediately. It's such an inspirational book, I actually did a photoshoot inspired by his work today, you'll see the pictures in a few days.
Next I dug up some oddities, some very fragile, I wanted to be on show and protected by glass. Newest additions to my oddity collection are those two tiny beehives. My brother accidentally brought them to me when he brought me one more army explosives box. The bee hives were inside that one.
I kept changing the order of my pretty things for a good while, and when I was finished, I went back to drinking coffee and browsing the internet, now around an actual coffee table. And what do you know, it was already getting dark, day over!
And there you go, day efficiently wasted! I'm kidding only slightly, the living room is coming together nicely with the coffee table.

I never see days spent like that as wasted; Rather a valuable time spent recharging and gathering energy through doing simple things that feed the soul in their own way. Life can be full of stuff most of which is focused outwards. It's nice to put a little back in.
A legit way to spend a day.
I think why I consider days like this like a bit of waste, is because I have too many of them. I avoid the things I should really be doing, and spend time "organising" something completely unnecessary like a makeup drawer, when instead I should be vacuuming :D
It's good to slow life down like that...In my opinion at least. :)
Well if the opposite is going nowhere fast, then yes :D

I like your floor. Is that a rug? At first glance it looks like a museum style mosaic. That is a very pretty table - no doubt worth the day you spent on it.
It's just a rug, not even a proper wool rug but one with the design painted on it :D But how cool would it be to have a mosaic floor!
Might wanna throw some whisky and bailys in that coffee too. That will really be a great way to waste the day. Haha. Cheers eve. Good idea for a post.
