For Moments Like This

I've been MIA for couple days because I attended a wedding a couple hours away from where I live, and we stayed overnight. These are definitely not traditional wedding festivity pictures, just something I took 'cause I liked the venue it was held in. It was an old barn, really drafty, dark, cold and the weather sucked. But it made for a great mood as we kept drinking until the morning. I know these pictures are a technical disaster, as it was pitch black for most of the pics, I didn't have a tripod, and quite frankly, I was really drunk. Still wanted to share some because of the mood.

Everyone else went to bed around 4am, but I met a tall, dark stranger who I had locked eyes with before, and he wasn't tired either so we stayed huddled next to each other under a marquee, while the rain was pouring around us, talking about the most random things. Parting ways just before the sun rose. Passing out as I hit the warm bed.

I live for moments like this.

Sort:

Rain has a way of revealing true character.

Do they rush hurried, fearing their facade will be altered? Or do they slow down and stride, letting the droplets soothe their souls.

I always laugh at the hurried ones. Being doused with rain isn't a problem.

Our concern over what others think of us is.

I love slowing my pace and gazing up in the sky when it rains. Others will only see their own shoes and the edge of their umbrellas. We see the rain as it really is.

Nice!
Kind of the same mood we hade yesterday having a crayfish party in an old barn. (:

Sounds fun! :)

Nice photography!
Thanks for share

You have a steady hand for a drunk! lol If I was drunk at a wedding I promise the images would be just wavey lines from all my swaying around :)

Haha, I was trying my best and concentrating for a while :D

lol! well I salute your dedication to the craft! ;)

@eveuncovered very nice and awesome photos thanks for sharing have a good day ahead thankyou best wishes

Barns are the perfect place for a roll in the hay. Then again, it's also a good place to step into a pile of cow dung.

So glad that you enjoyed the barn, festivities, and the tall dark stranger... straighten up and "slide-right." :-)

Such cool, moody photos. Each one seems to tell a story...

Glad you're back from your hiatus. (Clearly you've been back for a while and I'm just late to the party.)
