For Every Strength There is a Weakness
For every strength there is a weakness, for every advantage a disadvantage.
Men Commit almost all the violent crime. In the criminal psychopath, something may have gone wrong with the way the left hemisphere governs behavior. Scientist had found a constitutional predisposition, a genetic element for several generally male disorders: alcoholism and early onset schizophrenia.
Data from the United States for the period 1980 to 2008, for example, shows that men were responsible for 90% of the murders committed during that period. Men are also the major victims of violent crime. The same US data shows that 77% of the murder victims over those same two decades were men. Women, on the other hand, are more likely to be the victims, rather the perpetrators, of violent crime.
The right hemisphere of the human brain developed in such a way the visual-spatial skills were linked in it to mood and movement, and the organization of the male right hemisphere became particularly pronounced. Violent males lack control of the verbal and social left hemisphere.
Females evolved in a more balanced way and developed controls in both brain hemisphere. That somewhat explains why women tend not to become psychopaths and violent criminals. Women, remember, tend to become depressed when under stress.
By analyzing the subjects’ MRIs using diffusion imaging, the scientists explored the brains’ fiber pathways, the bundles of axons that act as highways routing information from one part of the mind to the other. After grouping the image by sex and inspecting the differences between the two aggregate “male” and “female” pictures, the researchers found that in men, fiber pathways run back and forth within each hemisphere, while in women they tend to zig-zag between the left, or “logical,” and right, or “creative,” sides of the brain.
“Men might over-engage just one part of the brain.”- said by Ragini Verma.
Scientifically, there is more to explore.
