Calamansi - Philippines Lemonade and other uses.
Hello Steemian!
Instead of purchasing easy to made juice(powdered juice)why not made a home made juice that is healtier.
Calamansi , the filipino lime has a mild lemon taste and also refreshing. . You can grow your own calamansi plant from its seed on a medium pot. They grow best in dry soil that does not retain water, this plant don't like wet feet. It also need adequate sunlight.
- To make 1 glass of calamansi juice you need to squeezed 4 to 5 calamansi and add muscovado sugar or honey.
Other Uses:
- You can marinate your beef and pork chops by mixing calamansi, soy sauce, garlic and pepper. The result is juicy and flavorful.
- Toyomansi as we call it in the Philippines the favorite sawsawan or dipping sauce. It is a combination of soy sauce and calamansi and you can add chili for extra kick. Toyomansi sauce is great with fried fish , inasal chicken, and sushi.
