TreeTuesday - Skies Afire!
It's the perfect day for a TreeTuesday!!!
I love that @old-guy-photos has declared this day in honor of the trees.
Trees are one of my favorite things in nature, so I'm happy to share a tree today.
These trees are old oak trees that are in a nearby older neighborhood. Back when these homes were built, the trees remained and the houses were placed in between them, so the trees stand mighty and tower majestically high into the sky. Though I call this image "Skies Afire", there is not really a fire here, and the leaves have yet to turn their autumn hues, but the light captured just so brings this scene to life. A moonlit night makes for the perfect backlight, revealing the silhouette of tangled branches.
I'm grateful for mature and producing trees on our land. We are blessed by the shade they provide in the hot summer Texas sun, the fruit some of them bear, the oxygen they provide to breathe, and the homes they make for the critters that enhance our eco-system.
It's so sad to see what happens in the new neighborhoods under construction. The bulldozers come in and level it flat, depleting the grounds from any signs of foliage before they cover much of the soil with blacktop, concrete and foundations. No wonder it's 10 degrees hotter on the outside of our fences!
Honor and pray for the trees!

It's very sad to live without nature, I love your trees
I am grateful that everyday I walk barefoot on the earth amongst a thriving eco system, including lots of trees!!! I feel for those who must sit inside of a man-made structure under artificial lights, breathing artificially cooled/warmed air, no sunshine or living earthly creates in their midst, but cleaned and sprayed with toxic chemicals to intentionally eradicate them. So truly blessed by my existence. I hope you too have a connection with the magnificence of nature @txatxy.

The person is the superartificial intelligence created by the nature, and now it slowly destroys it. We are afraid of the same also from computer artificial intelligence which was created.
We would do well to get our priorities straight!! Destroying nature is destroying ourselves. It seems we are having to learn the hard way!!! Thanks for the comment @putopelatudo.
It's amazing the photo and the time these trees take to grow, people cut in single day.
Isn't that the truth. Just think of all the trees that are being cut down just so people can use toilet paper!!!!! We may do the earth well to reconsider our addictions!!
