nice post, thanks...

And here, in the northern part of Venezuela, we have 90ºF ...Some enjoying on the beach and most of us require air conditioning in the city.

How many zillions of local dineros do you need to pay for an hour of air conditioning?

No, in our country the cost of electricity is low, practically given away; but, the quality of the service in the last "socialist" years has been very bad ... In my house, we normally have working (all day), two conditioned airs of 12000 BTU each and monthly we pay around 500,000 Bs/month (approx. 14 $ US at the official government exchange rate).

Sorry that your country has been devastated by the socialists. Very sad to see.

Note that the price of electricity may be low, but maybe the costs to produce are high.

Socialists use other peoples money to distort market signals and not let the market adjust to supply and demand.

Makes it look like you are getting something for free, but nothing is free, there are costs to be paid for all the free stuff Chavez promised.

If you are absolutely right in what you have just explained and I am happy to get someone who understands or is aware of the situation in my country ... but, it is true the higher cost that we are paying or that we are going to pay, is the fact of staying permanently without any kind of service ... all the money that enters the country goes into corruption and they do not invest anything in maintenance or new projects. Wow! Of course you know our reality and worked with very good companies ... However, here we are and here we will continue until a positive change is achieved...I think that change may be close.

I brought my pineapple plant inside last night, just in case. Last time the weatherman said it 'might' freeze, it actually got closer to 20 or so and killed both my plants.
It's still in the mid 30's here in north TX. Our high is 'supposed' to be 46 today.

only two kinds of people predict the weather in Texas.

Seems everyone is obsessed with not being normal these days. Why should mother nature settle for being just average. :)
