Steemers
in the near future
...............................................................................................................................................................
I think I'll visit Steemit.
First I suit up in my full sensory rig then I enter VR
Long, long ago, Steemit implemented Communities
There's one in particular that I frequent.
The CatHouse
it's not what you think.
or maybe it is.
how would I know what you think?
I step up to the door
(there's a cover charge)
and pay the doorman in Steem
well not exactly 'man'
(as in male)
but you know what I mean.
Inside are wonders untold
If I can think it...I can Steemit.
Everything I can imagine
and manythings I could not
are there for the experiencing
.
.
I can sky dive.
.
engage in mortal combat
.
.
I can have superpowers if I want
.
Hulk SMASH
(puny god)
I can BE the HULK
I can even
ahem
You don't need to know EVERYTHING I can do
BUT
With Full sensory immersion
not to crazy about VR , I think people expect too much from it
"I think there is a world market for maybe five computers."
did you have a chance to try it ?
computers...yeah I own four or five..
oh wait..
you mean VR?
not yet..
I'm waiting for the Real DEAL
(actually I'm waiting for the price to come down)
yeah , it might take a while for REAL DEAL . I've tried one and it was crap
the first computer I ever owned (i built it) wasn't much to write home about either
computers have since gotten a tiny bit better.
so will VR..only faster
oh..by the way...have you ever driven a model T?
or
Never driven a Model T, but was working on one, when a welder working in the same shop walked by and stated: "They dont build em like that anymore" to which I said "Thank God". He was shocked.
The bands for the transmission were cotton and only last ~1000 miles unless a driver was savy enough to shift into reverse long enough to lube/cool the belt.
I would lift the whole corner of the vehicle to block it...no jack needed.
Ford was a genius though, he used spanish moss for stuffing the seats, the moss was crated in tupelo boxes, and the wood from the boxes was used for bracing. No waste in production.
never even seen model T in person . The problem with VR is not device itself . The problem is lack of 3D graphics which simulate environment . It takes a lot of time to create those ...
faster processors...
neural networks...
etc.
oh...and game engines?
(you din't think the graphics would be hand drawn did you?)
hang on a few minutes while that problem is fixed.
You should definitely watch "Ready Player One" movie if you are interested in Virtual Reality. It will be released in March.
There's nowhere left to go...no where...except the Oasis"
er...
yeah...
There is directed the technology, to have a long distance meeting through virtual reality, more work that will be done from home, a whole future comes based on virtual reality, certainly a good way to make articles :)
Reminds me of Chappele's version
http://www.cc.com/video-clips/az3sy8/chappelle-s-show-if-the-internet-were-a-real-place
a big mac?

it reminds me of
i would like can live that future
