Yeah...right.

How many of the 911 terrorists that crashed into the World Trade Center were Saudis?
Is it true that the Saudi's FUND terrorism?
Why did the Saudi's threaten to crash our economy if the victims of 911 were allowed to sue them?

Big talk
Talk is cheap.

Sort:

Well, wasn't it Bill Cosby that told his kids "I brought you into this world. I'll take you out!"? My father was fond of that quote...

Seems to me if they really are as integral to terrorism as you think, then they could stop a lot of it just by not doing it anymore.

MBS, though, doesn't necessarily seem the type, as I hear he has his cousins hanging from their heels, waiting for cash to fall out of their pockets.

the proof is in the pudding.
we'll see what happens.

Before clicking to open, I thought this is another of your stories and I wondered.

Remember everything changed, especially internally, after Trump visited them. I recall that last year the terrorists were threatening Russia and Putin reminded them that he does not play around, if he has to, he will send a very low flying missile with a nuke head, and boom, he is rid of them. Having, now, Iran as a more immediate threat has them running in search of allies (Apart from the West, also Israel - ironically).

They thought oil and money gave them power, but it only did with obama and a few idiots in Europe. They now know they must clean up their act or it could be curtains for them - financially mostly, now that USA has more than enough oil of its own.

I agree, they will not do well in fighting terrorists; the Saudi rulers don't rule on their own, their extremist imams also have a lot of power, which will be divisive.

However, although arabs often will react aggressively towards war threats, one thing they have a heavy regard for is money. Threaten the loss of their wealth so that they become desert nomads again and they'll kiss your feet to stop you.

everittdmickey - I read quite a few of your episodes from a couple of your stories, but I finally had to stop. I don't like this itty-bitty steemit writing, when I start reading, I will do so for a minimum of an hour at a time, sometimes 3 or 4. The deeper I get into the story and the more I am interested in the characters, the longer I read. I cannot do this with steemit stories.

So this leads me to my question: Any chance of finding any of your stories grouped into one book? I am thinking of creating a website where books (mostly SF&F), can be available in pdf etc. At this same site, each writer from Steemit can post a list of links of their story at steemit, thus ensuring the episodes can remain available. There will be no charge for the reader using the steemit links, but if they want your book in one file, they must pay for it (low charge, since we mostly are doing this to expand our readership).

I am trying to organise this site, but I will not be running it, I'm too old (74) and we want it to be running for decades, not just for a few years.

Do you like the idea, will you be tempted to join us?

I'd love it.
just so you know.
All of the episodes of all of my (current) books that I am serializing are linked...forward and backwards and one link to the start.
you can go to the beginning and binge read the whole thing up to the current episode.

Thanks. It may take some time, I have to move cautiously as I have to rely on people I meet on the web. When it is about time, I'll contact you. Actually, it is interesting that with, what half a million members? I keep coming across your comments on various posts.

you do?
interesting.
one thing...there's a saying among 'indie' authors.
money COMES to the author...the author does NOT pay
It's good advice...too many scams have taken authors to the cleaners.
Here's an idea...take a percentage of sales.
Amazon Kindle pays the author something like 70% and keeps the rest.
The percentage would be up to you.
The more the author makes..the more you make.
so it would be in YOUR best interest (and the authors) for the author to make more.
'advertising' and 'promotion' comes to mind.

In a way, the authors will be advertising, since those with books there have accounts here, so they can add the link to their posts here - and we could resteem each others posts, so as to spread the information as much as possible.

There are ways of doing the marketing without it costing - for instance, what if we make a small app that guides people to sites where such books are availabe (ours of course always being the favourite) - and we offer them as freeware, placing them on freeware sites? They need programs to offer and we need their visitors.

If I was wanting to do this to become a whale (lol - for the profit), I would be keeping a major part of it for me. I am more interested in this becoming a step towards full publishing, by offering readers a chance/ a platform to get to know our writers at a low cost.

if you're not doing it for a profit it won't work

What I'm trying to say is that profit is not my primary motivation. I want all expenses to be covered, the authors to make some money so that they benefit and then, if I make a bit extra...great!

I understand what you are saying, but I am also trying to avoid working with people (not the authors) who run it only for profit and the authors get screwed again as usual.
December is not a good month for starting, so I am trying to aim for 2nd half of January, so we have time.

Any ideas or criticisms, please let me know.

integrate it into the blockchain.
