President Trump on Sunday said he believes many of the recent leaks coming out of his White House are made up by the “fake news” media.
In a series of tweets, the president focused on news reports that include the words “sources say.”
“It is my opinion that many of the leaks coming out of the White House are fabricated lies made up by the #FakeNews media,” the president tweeted Sunday.

The term "off the record" was supposed to be reserved for comments never to be made public and upheld by a moral code among the media. My reason for mentioning this is if you can believe it, it seems there once was a tiny bit of virtue found in some media circles. Now they just use the term "source" and see fit to write op ed pieces as fact or simply fabricate stories without any repercussions. This is very, very dangerous.

For my entire life I have known that MSM was propaganda. I learned at six years old that authorities lie to you, when I studied a globe and considered that I was taught there were seven continents.
Worse than mere narcissism and incompetence is the fact that the only news that has any potential to be believed is independent reporting, because most of the people either plainly claim to be biased (which is frankly refreshing), clearly are trying to be objective, or are bad enough at shilling that they're fairly easy to discount.
The slick media operations owned by pathocrats and infused with Operation Mockingbird content are so very obviously propaganda, that the first time I heard the term 'fake news' I got kinda excited, because I thought it referred to them.
Sadly, while it certainly does apply to them, it wasn't intended to.
At least almost everyone I know is certain they're nothing more than propaganda outlets. I must confess I suffered a moment of mental disconnect when I heard Gov. Jesse Ventura say he was going to begin a news program on RT, in order to avail himself of a popular outlet that wasn't a controlled propaganda outlet.
Power to him, and to you, and to all the mom and pop news shops that keep the truth coming.

It's not just the media that's against him. Doesn't he have a pretty low approval rating? Seems like a great deal of Americans are also against him, I would certainly be against a guy like that if he was running my country.
Well if he was trying to make changes and you like the way things are running than yes I would be against him. But if you want change than I would be for him. I guess history will tell us if he is a good, bad or great president.
What about the times that he says one thing and then says the opposite? Twitter is pretty helpful in showing that too or you'd rather ignore that?
Media to me is entering a very dark age. Websites and article writers are desperate for clicks and revenue. Social media is spammed with speculation and clickbait headlines, which many read and pass on as news itself.
Hopefully many will learn to reserve themselves and restrain their judgment by looking for the truth first . The truth cannot be assumed from what another wants you to believe, whether for money or to brainwash you.

I think that while this has been the scenario for a long time, the advent of social marketing, social engineering, and social media has become a scary and efficient science, more so than ever before, and is affecting a new generation. Social media has become as pandering as possible, and highly partisan and un-objective news pops up in recommended feeds to those most influenced. Betrayed by their own interests which are sold to marketers, and perpetuating a cycle of ignorance for those obsessed with outrage.
I have stopped since, but in the years I wrote articles, the obsession for political speculation rose and rose, and writing political speculation easily multiplied in revenue from 2015 to 2016. I imagine it either remains the same or has increased further.
