CNN, NBC Trump coverage

93 percent negative

..................................................................................................................................................................................

  • How negative was press coverage of President Trump's first 100 days in office? Far more than that of Barack Obama, George W. Bush, or Bill Clinton, according to a new report from the Harvard Kennedy School's Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy.
    .
The Harvard scholars analyzed the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and the main newscasts (not talk shows) of CBS, CNN, Fox and NBC during Trump's initial time in office. They found, to no one's surprise, that Trump absolutely dominated news coverage in the first 100 days. And then they found that news coverage was solidly negative — 80 percent negative among those outlets studied, versus 20 percent positive.

Trump press coverage 'sets new standard' for negativity

  • President Donald Trump's early days in office were subjected to almost universally negative news coverage in the print editions of The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, as well as broadcast outlets CNN, CBS, Fox News and CNBC parent NBC, and European news outlets the Financial Times, BBC and ARD in Germany.

If the ONLY thing you hear about Trump is what his enemies tell you...?

Sort:

You are right, this is a totally bias media.

The unpopular idea here is to call out both parties for what they are failing to do. Right wing and left wing like you said, same bird... the Dems are all about "the resistance" but what are the proposals? there is a handful who are actually working and the Republicans are either sucking up to Trump to maintain power by playing it safe or simply not putting forth workable ideas. It frustrates me to no end...

tell me..
What business is it of the goverment?

any of it?

why do you want 'workable ideas'?
for what?

In my opinion we are past the utopian idea that we could get government out of our lives... USA as a country is too bureaucratized to ever dissolve its level of power completely. But there are self created problems that need fixing right now, like our tax codes and our healthcare system. We can't continue with the ACA as it is. Insurance markets are self destructing as more companies pull out of states where they can't make money leaving more and more people uninsured... its a matter of time before we are stuck with a health crisis that only movies could describe.

so...if you hit your finger with a hammer does it hurt?
...do you hit it even HARDER?
...again and again.

Government has demonstrated since time began that they can not do anything right.
so ...do you want MORE government?
..again and again?

I get your point and on principal I agree, but how to make them smaller? I have not he slightest clue...

oh they'll get smaller all right...by their selves.
How long does a government last before it collapses?
The problem is not being in the splatter zone when it happens.
Venezuela comes to mind.

The news does sometimes report negatively and make mistakes but if the percentage is this high it seems some of it is Trump's fault too. Not saying that you are wrong but this is just my opinion.

I guess you're just going to discount the MANY times the news media, the dhmikrats, and the PublicEducation have publicly vowed to 'bring down' trump.

Everyone has an opinion...some peoples are just more informed than others.

oh..by the way...it's been my experience and observation for the last fifty year that the news media does not make mistakes.
everything they do is intentional.
they lie.
