Since December, my son had been counting days for his Birthday. Every morning, he used to ask me the date and since January started, his daily question was, "Mama, is it 17 January?"

I remember, we used to get excited and anticipate just like that in our childhood. But with the passage of time, the excitement fades. It doesn't diminish though because Birthdays are always cherished.

Anyways, a day before Birthday, we went to the market to buy stuff for décor. I discussed with my son what kind of cake he wanted. He's always up for Spiderman but this time he was inclined towards Ryan from Ryan - Toys Review. But luckily, he shifted to something manageable - Monster Truck.

We ordered a Monster Truck themed cake and then we were off to market to buy the party supplies. I bought some crepe papers, chart papers, computer papers, balloons, goody bags, candies for party.

Then my husband bought some gifts for him. He wanted everything from the toy store. XD

I had ordered my present online. It will arrive after his birthday. I chose a study table for him because he has no proper space for doing his homework yet. This present will be very useful for him hopefully

Finally the big day arrived. He was so excited yet sheepish when he woke up. He also had to go to school after winter break. He took candies for his classmates.

After sending him to school, I did my breakfast and started planning the day. My son had invited his friends over. The kids are small so their mother were going to accompany them. Luckily, they all were my friends too.

I decorated the backdrop and a table for Birthday. It took me around 2 hours to design the wall. It was looking good. I am not a professional but I was satisfied with how it looked.

I was done with the decoration by the time my son arrived from school. Then I prepared lunch and we ate together.

After that I started preparing snacks for the party. I prepared rolls, samosay, macronies, fruit trifle, fries and ordered Pizza too.

Guests arrived at 4pm so we started the party. Me, my husband and our little son joined our elder son in cutting the cake.

Kids enjoyed everything a lot because I had set up so many candies for them.

We all ate and had fun together for few hours. Kids played together with toys and I chatted with my friends. It was extremely cold outside as it had been raining since morning. We had coffee together and then everyone left.

I was extremely tired at the end of the day but the day was worth that exhaustion as my child was happy.
