Looking Unto Jesus For Help

The Christian race we are in involves our looking unto someone for help and who will look unto determines how far we can go. It most times could involve our getting distracted by the people around us which could lead to being hard to put our focus on Jesus Christ who is the author and the finisher of our faith.

HEBREWS 12:2-3

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Looking up to Jesus means relying on Him and putting your total confidence in Him. It means not having a second thought over something else but zeroing our gaze on Him totally.

One of the reasons we are asked to look unto Jesus for help in our Christian race is the fact that the people around us may make us feel weary or tired if we look to them for confidence to go on but when we look up to Jesus Christ, He will strength us and give us the confidence to go on and not be weary no matter what we encounter.

The Christian race is a race we cannot finish without the help of God because our confidence is placed on Him. We are to look unto Him and Him alone because he is the author and finisher of faith.

Never look unto man, because a man may make you go weary but look up to Jesus alone for, in Him, our help comes from.

Look up to Him for your help, look up to Him for success and breakthrough in life, it comes from Him and Him alone. Those who look unto Him for help cannot be put to shame. Those who look up to Him find peace, joy, happiness, success, good health, love, and every other good thing they deserve in life.

PSALM 34:5

They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces will never be ashamed.

When they look up to Him, there is an assurance of though a rough road but a bright and secure future. Those who look up to Him do not depend on any man because they are sure of whom they are looking up to.

PSALM 121:1

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?

He is our helper in times of distress. Always look up to Him for help. Jesus is our encouragement in this race, He has gone before us and He also in His time of distress, look unto His Father for help so we are to live by example. Looking unto Help as well for help.
