LIVE YOUR LIFE TO GLORIFY YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN
Our Christianity start from our life and not about the name or been called a Christian. So many say they are Christians but their life isn't worth looking at, their life is nothing to write home.
1 THESSALONIANS 4: 1-2
Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. Vs. 1
For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. Vs. 2
Teaching the Gentiles from my point of view must have been hard for Brother Paul but because He knew that for us to be a true believer, we are to live our lives to please God every day, he had to teach them.
There are Christians when they tell you they are Christians, you look them and you are like for sure? because I don't think. Don't get me wrong here, am not here to judge anyone but to tell us and admonish us that we should live our lives to please God.
Let people see God in you not by your dressing because I don't believe that but by your character, manner of approach, relationship with people around you and the way you eat. Those are the fruit of the Spirit.
GALATIANS 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Vs. 22
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Vs. 23
There is no point where we stop pleasing God, everyday of our life is for our Father in heaven to be glorified in us through our lives.
Strive to be more and more like Christ in our thought, in word, and never get tired of doing it. Never relax. Never stop rowing.
PHILIPPIANS 2:12
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Vs. 12
Don't feel because I have given my life to Christ since I was born, I am okay, No. Everyday, we live is a day to please God through our lives.
We here so many people say, God looks at our heart and not our dressing so you tend to dress immodestly, No that is not true, Just maybe He looks at the intentions of our heart but let me ask, if you are going for an interview and you need the job badly, do you dress immodestly? I think I already know the answer. You dress all corporate to make the interviewers believe you the best choice for this job.
So as Christians, our appearance matters a lot. Let your dressing as well be to please your Father in heaven.
Let our lives be to please God. In a period like this where we don't know what next after now, let your life be to please God.
Living to please God is about been dead to the world. About crucifying your Mr. flesh on the cross and letting go of the things that does not give glory to God.
PHILIPPIANS 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
