HOLY SPIRIT OUR COMFORTER
JOHN 14:25-26
These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. Vs. 25
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Vs. 26
JOHN 14: 18
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Vs. 18
He promised that He will not leave us comfortless because He will come to us even in a comfortless situation.
WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT CAME TO DO.
- The Holy Ghost came to teach us all things.
- The Holy Ghost came to bring all things to our remembrance, all that He has spoken to us.
- The Holy Spirit came to abide in us.
- The Holy Spirit came to testify of Him.
- The Holy Spirit came speak to us about the truth.
JOHN 15:26-27
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: Vs. 26
And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from
the beginning. Vs. 27
ROLES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
- The Holy Spirit aids us to spread the gospel.
- The Holy Spirit gives or quicken the inner mind of a man.
- The Holy Spirit impacts or teaches one the knowledge of truth.
- The Holy Spirit empowers one on the spreading of the gospels.
- The Holy Spirit enlightens one about the gospel.
ACTS 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Vs. 8
