FREEDOM THAT GOD GIVES

Freedom means a state of being free, not under the control of somebody or something. It could also mean not being hindered from thinking and acting the way you wish to think or act without being disturbed.

FOCAL SCRIPTURE
ROMANS 6:16

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Freedom comes when you are in Christ Jesus. Whosoever you obey, you are a servant to that person.

WAYS TO ACCESS FREEDOM
EPHESIANS 4:29-32

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” Vs 29.
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Vs 30
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:” Vs 31
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” Vs 32

Vs 29: Corrupt communication bridges your freedom. The scripture says
“Be ye holy because I am holy”. It hinders you from being free because God is holy so anyone who speaks filthy is not of God but of the devil as such, he/she is not holy and can never be freed from corrupt communication because he/she is in bondage.

Vs 30: The only person that gives us and helps us maintain freedom is the Holy Spirit which stays in our heart. So whenever you grieve him by doing the things you are not might to do, you will always be in conflict with the Holy Spirit.

Vs 31: The only way to access your freedom is to remove all form bitterness, wrath, anger, hatred, clamour and evil thought.

Vs 32: Being kind to one another and having a tender heart towards one another, forgiving one another gives you access into your freedom.

An unforgiving heart hinders God’s special freedom in one’s life.

Negative things that enslaves us:

• Self
• Sin
• Satan
• Demons
• World
• Friends
• Environment

God is the only Master out of all this that can bless you and protect you but the rest can only make you there slaves and use you to do evil at the end of the day, you end in HELL FIRE.

Anything that Satan influences us to do ends in catastrophe.

THE WAY OUT:

The only sure way is to turn to the Lord.

• Jesus is the only one that can set you free.
• True freedom is in our union with Christ.
• When you open your mouth your mouth and confess Jesus as your Lord, He saves you from other masters.
• The only time you can be free is when you turn to the Lord for help, then and only can your old nature (sin) be crucified on the cross.

Without the name of Jesus, you can never be free because the bible says, “That at the mention of the name of Jesus; the name that is above all other names, things in heaven and on earth shall bow down to the name. So freedom comes through the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Lord deliver me from the shackles or bondage of the devil.

Reflection: When you are freed from sin, you become slaves to righteousness. But when you are servant to sin, you are free from righteousness.
