My take on Xmas and some humor...
Xmas is around the corner, and some people get ecstatic! Some are in love with Xmas season, some hate it, some just "do it for the kids" and some just kind of go along with it. It's the time of the year you stuff yourself in excess, and meet relatives you barely remember you have.
Here's my take on it =)

Yes, Christmas is ver commercial here as most other holidays are
I have over the years, convinced them that we are not getting presents just for the sake of getting something and we'd use the money for a holiday within budget instead
Except for my young nephew and niece.
They have a tree up, I bought them something
And the rest is for their parents to explain :D

That one my daughter got into an argument with her friend who told her it wasn't real hahaha
The absolute worst Christmas season I ever had was working in a retail store. They had a 20minute sound track of Christmas Carols that was on auto-repeat the whole day. If I EVER hear "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" again I think I'll take an axe to whatever (or whoever) is playing it.
But years later, when my husband and I started a handmade toy company we made it a point to hold our last event of the year at a flea market in an area full of low paid or unemployed workers and give away whatever inventory we had. The looks on the kids faces as we handed them a toy they couldn't take their eyes off of that we had a good idea their parents couldn't afford made up for all the nasty, harried, christmas shoppers I ran into at the shopping malls. For me - being able to give those kids at least one toy for Christmas was what the season is truly all about.
Your totally right, and actions like these are the aspect of the holiday I can completely appreciate. At work we also have an annual toy collection for kids from very modest families and it does make them very happy every year .
