Have you noticed how some people just go ahead and touch pregnant women's belly without asking, as if it suddenly became public property?
What do you think about this behavior?
While I know people don't have any bad intentions (quite the opposite), I personally can't stand being touched unless it's a close friend, my husband or my mom. Other than that, my motto is don't touch my belly!
I wanted to print a tank-top that says touch at your own risk, or touch my belly, lose an arm. Something along those lines. I like funny t-shirts, especially if they are martial arts related. Check out the video this couple made, it totally cracked me up. The BJJers on this platform will enjoy watching this:

It is pretty amazing to feel those little kicks once it gets to that point, but I've only ever felt up close family and a few friends. 😋 I would say I only would ever ask of it's someone I'm close to. Asking an acquaintance or co-worker seems to presumptuous if I don't know them well. I actually felt my niece kick in my sister's belly for the first time when we were watching Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Always brings back fun memories watching it now. 😊
Yes it’s a totally weird feeling! I felt it once on a friend but she asked me to touch 😆. Family is totally cool in my book, but strangers are another story 😜

You're right. It is pretty weird now that I picture myself going around touching non-pregnant bellies haha. In my defence I always ask first :) ALWAYS!

ahahahah yeah the video made me laugh a lot too. I was actually looking for techniques to do while pregnant that aren't dangerous for me, and I stumbled upon this. It was perfect. Not that I would break anyone's joints over it ahah but I prefer when people ask. And I think if you ask it's totally OK. I know women who actually like people touching their belly =)
LOVE the belly defense lessons! I still have no clue why people even WANT to touch anyone's belly, especially a perfect strangers!

I always think its odd how its suddenly ok to touch someone's tummy when they're brewing a little one inside. It just so weird, hence i never ask or even touch when invited...

It was bad for my wife when she was pregnant too but, she gets weirdness all the time. She is really small and people think that because of that they can come over and touch her and even try to pick her up...
