Evander Smart - Digital Currency Writer and Newest Steem Member

Hi, y'all! My name is Evander Smart and I just got started with Steem today. I was tipped off by Jeff Berwick's "Dollar Vigilante" channel on YouTube and I'm very happy to join up and support innovative, blockchain-based, free market, uncensored online content. The freedom and shared innovation the Internet and its son, decentralized digital currency, provide the world has a value that is immeasurable.

2016 is shaping up to be one hell of a year. Steem's introduction, Ethereum's coming out part, Bitcoin's halving, and the 2016 Presidential Election in the U.S., which can influence the future of everything, online and off.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in New York City, and was very fortunate to start out there. I was a Wall Street banker from 2008-2011 and after reading books like "The Creature from Jeckyll island" and watching documentaries like "Zeitgeist," I became disillusioned with the currency legacy economic system. These avenues lead me to look behind the curtain of how money and economics really work, and at this point I decided to stop being a "moneychanger" and look for something else. Something more ethical, less controlled, more inclusive, more advanced, and simply better. I walk out of the banking system that summer without a job, but with a mission to find my true calling, which would be discovering "the future of money."

Unfortunately for me, I did not hear about Bitcoin in 2011, when a Bitcoin was worth about $0.30 USD. It took me almost two more years to catch up with Bitcoin, at around the point of the infamous banking "bail-in" in Cyprus, off the shores of Greece. Bitcoin's value just about doubled to almost $250 USD, while more popular commodities like Gold and Silver,m moved hardly at all, showing where many were moving their funds that were "in play" that week. Speculation was running wild, and I was hooked.

The best way to gain Bitcoins, outside of buying them outright, is to work for them, so that's just what I did. I began writing Bitcoin news articles for CryptoCoinsNews.com, as I thought my financial background and my decent writing skills might be a good fit for the young, growing, global Bitcoin community. My instincts served me well, as after two months, my content started to gain 30,000. 40,000, 50,000 views per article, making me the most-viewed writer in CCN history. I still have the most-viewed CCN article all-time and four of the top 8 articles for views at CCN.

(I see this is getting long-winded and rambling.......) Long story short, I worked at CCN for a year, then was able to write for top Bitcoin news sites like CoinTelegraph (current), DCE Brief, NewsBTC, Bitcoin.com and now I'm head Writer for http://BitConnect.co, which, like Steem, has gone from just a concept in February to a Top 200k Alexa website in just six months. According to the webmaster, Satao Nakamoto, my writing two news articles a day for them (now one article) certainly helped them grow quickly.

I have been able to build a solid social network on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other social platforms over my years in the writing community. For this, I am very thankful that people like my work. If I have helped one person get more interested in Bitcoin or other altcoins and digital currencies, it has all been worth it.

I have since ex-patriated to Central America and found one of the most beautiful areas I could have ever imagined. This will be where I will retire to, as I am now old enough to start considering such things. "The Police States of America" is no longer my cup of Joe, if you will. For the record, I am very worried about the future of the United States, and the choice between Donald Trump and "Criminal Clinton" will define that future. With the U.S. Dollar dying a slow death, and The Police State truly out of control, the U.S. is teetering on the brink of destruction.

I fully support Trump and I would vote for my local billy goat here, (Her name is California) over Criminal Clinton. I fear that if Criminal Clinton gets into the White House, by hook or by Crook-ed Clinton, the U.S. will never recover. She will put in the TPP trade agreement. She will expand the TSAs and the growing Police State, and she will run the country exactly as every private bank and foreign government want her to for their vested interest. All they have to do is make a donate to her personal PayPal account, I mean "Clinton Foundation," and they will get what they paid for.

I have lived on my Bitcoin income exclusively for the last two years. I have not had a bank account since I left banking five years ago. I'm am all in on Bitcoin, and am very open to supporting the rest of the digital currency community, which is why I'm here.

Rest assured that I will be writing up Steemit in the very near future and promoting it to the best of my ability. BitConnect.co helps an under-served area of the global community get started. India, Russia, South Africa and Indonesia love BitConnect.co, which is why I have loved writing for them. I want to get THE WORLD involved in decentralized digital currency, not just be another writer pumping more content into the U.S. and Great Britain. Digital currency news is for everyone, not just the privileged few.
