If you are afraid of not having a thing to write about, at least you're not afraid to pick up a pen. The flow of writing often comes with just trying to scribble something. You could just make a page from a careless scribble. I'm currently writing a piece which may later turn out to be a book. I've not been writing everyday, but anytime I do, I fear for where those many words come from.
For those who already try at writing, we know that writing comes with some inspiration which may may just come by a flicker of chance. In fact, I've written sometimes by the roadside for fear of losing it before I arrive. That means I have to clutch a pen and paper always or type on my phone. You might have also hear about temi.com. It'll help you speak it into your device and translate later.
What happens when inspiration has made a trip to a far land? A writer must develop an attitude towards the rest of the time when the inspiration may not be literally there. That's what I'm imbibing to make up for those days devoid of the flow. Hard as it may be now, it'll get better.
You can only get better by actually writing.

I really died as a writer. I cried for myself and did the job of an undertaker for myself. But I rather wore a white coat...resurrection in underway.

I express this to individuals often who say "I like to write, I just never have any ideas"
My response usually is something along the lines of "inspiration is an elusive butterfly"
When they ask me what I mean I say "just pick up the pen, or type if your faster that way"
Because oft times I force myself to write during my blankest of times, and more often than not, that is when my masterpieces are born.
