Moments of calm.
When I took this photograph, on the beach where the fishermen arrive, I thought of the metamorphosis that occurs when the boat leaves the stillness of dry land and plunges into the depths, carrying with it the promise of being filled by the generosity of the ocean.
It is an image that encapsulates the very essence of duality: the apparent calm that precedes the exuberance of life on the high seas.
Momentos de calma.
Cuando hice esta fotografía, en la playa donde llegan los pescadores, pensé en la metamorfosis que ocurre cuando el bote abandona la quietud de la tierra firme y se sumerge en las profundidades, llevando consigo la promesa de ser llenado por la generosidad del océano.
Es una imagen que encierra la esencia misma de la dualidad: la calma aparente que precede a la exuberancia de la vida en alta mar.
