Hello fans

My post for today is targeted at the working class (workforce) especially the youths. Workforce here refers to ones that fall outside the range of dependent.

There are reportedly issues of threats to the society virtually on daily basis from the supposedly today and tomorrow's leaders. They cause problems rather than fixing them. Can we have them to blame? Or do we crucify the economy or the government for watching them turn wild by not doing what is expected?

Yes, the government is the cause because she had nonchalantly consider providing for the basic needs of the populace?
No, the government trying her best but some won't just allow for change.

But If we must deal with issue from the root or cause perspective, then we will undoubtedly consider the principle of equity : where everyone has a part to take.
Parents send their children to school to get good grades to work in a reputable organisations and Multinationals like the Shell BP, Exxon Mobil, Procter and Gamble, Schlumbeger and so on. But after all the years of endeavours, their expectations only turn misery when the child becomes jobless for as long as the length of time he spent studying or indefinitely.

Do we blame the parent for aspiring wrongly for their children or the Multinationals that haven't enough vacancies to accommodate the increasing numbers of graduates?

I will like us to first examine the meaning and essence of education.

What is an educated man?

Literarily, an educated person is that man who has gone pass the 6-3-3-4 system of education, acquire a degree, masters and maybe other professional qualifications, can speak and write good English. Though he had passed several tough examinations and tests in schools but why can't he get job?
I call this layman's definition.
If we must know who an educated man is, it is as good as saying "An educated man is the man who is able to get what he wants through other people without infringement on their rights" .

This is simple and all encompassing definition of an educated person.
Now let's apply the definition to the present world to know if it worth blaming the economy.
If a man had gone to school to study Business Administration, where did he kept the business skills he had acquired? Where in fact, there are thousands of business opportunities he can tap into with the knowledge of business he has.
If he cannot see this, then it is as good as he had gained no knowledge in all the years spent in school. So do we blame the economy for this?

It's time for all the youths (workforce) to understand the economy depends and expects much from us rather than we waiting for it to remember us.
This is the basis of the increasing unemployment rate in the country.
Truth must be told, the available jobs are far lesser to accommodate the available workforce. Besides, yearly the number of unemployed ones increases as thousands graduate.

Can we say : Let's take the jobs from the employed ones and give to the freshly graduated ones. We will be posing more threats and dangers to the community by so doing. Though the government has a major role to play in job creation but the greedy act of dubious leaders would only worsen situation. Knowing this fully well, should we sit and wait for jobs to come while wallowing in self-pity?

Let go your fantasies
If indeed as a graduate of university or college, or polytechnic, you have acquired the right knowledge in your field of study, then it's time for you to stop dreaming and wake up to reality. The reality is "the country depends on you".
Let go the mentality that the Shell BP will consider your application some day after several years of no job.

Opportunities are everywhere : in streets, jungle (Bush), even right in your room, surroundings, neighbourhood, etc but an ordinary eyes cannot see it. You have the eyes to see it, so look for it.

Here, you can see the problem is not really the economy but "You".
The economy will reshape itself as soon as you realise what needs to be done and adjust yourself.

If we depend on the economy it might fail us but it is better to be up and doing and if the economy plays its own part, its all good but if its fails, our heart will not be broken and we wont shift blames.

Thanks @euronation

But I think the economy does not run itself. We determine how the economy looks like. So we're more of the determinants. If it has to play it's part, then onus lie on us.

Both has to be blamed but instead of doing the blame game, I advice our youth to embrace the change steemit has provided

Hmmm, maybe you have a point here.

Well thought out post. The change we look for is not far from us but we must contribute our quota for it's realization.

Thank you for stopping by.

Inspiring as usual
Lessons learnt

I believe all have lapses both the government and the us, imagine a youth with a promising dream, well proposed business plan, yet the environment is not enable. Too much tax to pay , poor infrastructures like good road, electricity to mention bt few. Believe me there are still community without motorable roads, electricity etc, so tell me as a young begginner with a promising business plan and proposal how then can he or she strive in such environment.i wonder what will be his or her fate .... Government has a lot role to play here...

Yes, in every setting, there will always be an unconducive environment for growth but the ability to maintain growth amidst the uncertainties is the reason we went to school. Things are not always right, we just have to make it right.

The blame is shared however no one can change situations for me or you except me or you.youths have to rise up, the economy or govenment has failed them, why sit at home and cast blames. Needs have to be met, bills have to be paid, so let them rise to the challenge

I agree with you.
