The path of least resistance

Lets say there are two paths, A and B. A should be the path where most people take but it currently has more resistance than B, so B is taken more. What can be done so A becomes the new default?

    Presuming the A has more congestion than B, but now B is the choice as it is a whole new world. (Seeing this as many Steemit like platform popping up and people flocking there). What A needs to do is to improve the infrastructure (the HF) that resonates with the current users (us). Then, encourage the us to reach out outside world as to make A the new gold.
