Free stuff from Native Instruments
Just found out about the Komplete Start bundle if you wanna have a little dip into music production. Pretty good instruments to mess around with just a laptop. Check out Lazerbass - it's sick. But I still suck at coming up with something from scratch without resorting to sampling.
