I am not sure how to answer your poll on Twitter.
A futures contract, as I understand it, allows the price of future events to be priced in. But because there is no certainty in future events traders are speculating what will happen. While this can lead to price discovery it also opens a commodity up to wild speculation. And that wild speculation can lead to manipulation as the future's price is used as information by market traders trading in the now.
This is why it is hard for me to decide which way to vote in your Twitter poll.

I wanted to highlight the potential impact the Bitcoin Futures could have on the Cryptocurrency Market, hence the poll.
As with any Financial Derivatives and Futures Contracts these toxic Financial Instruments open up the possibility of Price Manipulation, both up and down.
I believe that it is important for those unfamiliar with Futures Contracts and Options to understand how these can be used if in the wrong hands.
