As absurd as it may sound, you will need a bit of cash on-hand too. If there is a collapse where capital controls are put in place, you may only be able to withdraw a tiny amount (if anything at all) from an ATM or credit cards don't work. For a short time cash (on-hand) will be king. This is because it is universally recognized at stores.

Yes, I think inflation is inevitable, it has been the goal of central banks. When they over-shoot then hyper-inflation will come about.
I think the reset of the system may result in a world-wide type of crypto-currency controlled by some type of World Bank. Competition to new world-wide crypto-currency may be squelched because the World Bank will say that they need total control in order to prevent another collapse (think fed on steroids).
Decentralization of systems will prevent global lock downs. They certainly have the ability to put the hurt on some, but hopefully not enough to squelch the spirit of liberty.
