I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

While I don't mind you sharing this I just feel it is a bit overrewarded for a simple share. Just one opinion, keep posting! :)

If you look at some of the large upvotes, you will see that I use bid-bots to promote the post. My net earnings from the post after paying for the bid-bots is much less than the total value of the post.
The promotion of the post with bid-bots is to raise awareness of Greg Hunters work and his YouTube channel. The part that I add to his video is the topics covered with a time stamp where it can be found in the video.
I generally only share Greg's YouTube videos that talk about the economy and money. Greg's weekly round-up usually have a mix of economy and politics. Tonight Greg has a guest that is largely a political guest. I will not produce a post for tonight's video. If people are interested then they will have to be subscribed to Greg's YouTube channel which I strongly encourage in all of my posts with Greg's videos.

I also retweet Greg Hunter's post on Twitter to give him a bit more exposure too. But on Twitter I do not include the time stamps I put in my SteemIt posts. The time stamps are the special value I provide only to the SteemIt community.

So why do I use bid-bots to promote a post? Using bid-bots wisely to promote a post gives me a small return on my promotion investment. And the promotion usually gets the creators content exposed to a wider audience.

I generally use bid-bots to promote posts I put a little effort into. The more effort I put into a post, typically the greater my use of bid-bots. For example, the bird count posts I do. I try to heavily promote these posts. It is a reflection of the amount of work I put into the post and my promotion of the activity to try to involve more people in the Project FeederWatch program.

Another reason I promote my original content posts is the entice others to engage on the SteemIt platform. I upvote nearly every comment left on my blog posts (generally worth one to two cents) and I tweet my original content on Twitter.

Thank you for your comment.

Have a great weekend!

Mike
