What do you mean or in what context, you put some energy creating content and you do get back various things in return, free exposure, free votes, free engagement and free community of users and followers...and most importantly you put out beautiful creation that will live forever on blockchain!
Nowadays I very rarely get real human comments. Sometimes I do not even get real human comments. No matter what I do, what I try, what I post, what I write about.
I can post with Steemit, Busy, eSteem, SteamPeak, the outcome is almost always the same. The only exception is dPoll, where there are real user engagement.
And I am not alone. I see many people in this situation. There are a lot of blog posts without real human comments. The statistics are backing up my statement. There are 59 675 posts in the first week of 2020, but the average number of comments is only 3.38. We need more readers and better content discovery for outer world and recent changes like guests accounts some projects offering and better content discovery with eSteem Search we will get there, a lot of work ahead but things are moving in right direction, imho.
I wish that the "what you put out is what you get back" would be also true on the Steem blockchain.
