Running in October

in #running6 years ago (edited)

As the days shorten and the nights get colder my will to run gets a sudden boost of energy. Who would have known why? I don't.

Anyways, the key for me now and in following months is consistency. Keep on running and building the base. After couple of months add technical stuff and speed work. And you'll be ready when Spring comes. Easy? You bet!

The goal is to run every day. Tempo and long run during the weekend, short, continuation runs on weekdays.

How do I fare so far? Quite good, thank you.

This is the screenshot from Strava with runs from this Sunday onwards.

43.4 kilometers in five days. Decent start, I would say.

Obviously, the charity run on Sunday was the most demanding. And the most rewarding.

OK, all I have to do now is focus and continue. And kick myself out and on the road when the hour is late, the head is sleepy and the autumn breeze gives you its cold hand. Otherwise, no problems at all.

Better and better!

Ps: all my Proofs of run are publicly available on my Strava profile.

Ps2: the cover photo shows you my obsession with benches. They are such great energy points. Otherwise they wouldn't be there welcoming you to sit down and cherish the moment. Whenever you meet a lonesome bench, sit on it. You won't regret it.

Well done mate!!!! Put a race in your calendar!!

It's already there :)

January 6th. 57 kilometers over the hills.

There will be some participations up to this event, of course.

No need to be a masochist to run well... but a bit of pain could make you stronger. ;)
