New Kid In Town
How is it to be a newcomer? To be a new kid on the block, to know nobody, to have no friends, to try desperately to fit in, doing it step by step. It can seem that these steps are all going backwards, that you are doing no progress at all, that nobody notices you no matter how hard you try.
Like Eagles have said many years ago:
Can you see the direction this gloomy narrative is pointing at? Can you tell what caught my mind and made it sad, so sad?
We are living in the world, at least the part that we call the western civilization where fitting in is becoming an obsession because were are more and more lonely individuals. We try to belong to a community, any community. To share common views, desires, goals.
All that we really are is a community of one person. It is a lonely experience. It is not getting better.
How can we fix this? How can a lonely individual overcome this situation, gather an audience, acquire friends, be excepted in a community? By staying true to oneself, trying again and again and never, ever quitting. Quitting is not an option.
In the end, we will all be one big happy family. I know that!
It will happen in the end. Even here!
