From a very shy person, to a lifelong learner!

Hola! I'm new here! I'm Walid from Algeria. I am 23 years old. First I want to thank my friend @nationall who introduced me to steemit, a great platform that I didn't even know existed. Actually, I don't know a lot about cryptocurrency, but I'm intending to learn everything about it. My main goal here in steemit is to share my life and the things that I learn with everybody and also I want to learn from everyone. Yes, I like learning. I'm also very very excited to improve my English at the same time. I expect this to be a journey full of joy, learning, and improvement.

But what's my story? Here is a brief description of my life: I was very shy and my life was boring. I always missed the opportunities that arose in my life (whether in relationship, or school or other areas...). I had been staying in my comfort zone and had been avoiding the discomfort that comes with taking risks, until the day I realized something: no matter how secure a felt in the little cocoon that I have built for my self, I was living in the fear that sooner or later I was going to inevitably face all the situations that I was avoiding and then it will be the day of the truth. With that realisation, I felt a very intense pain in my body from knowing that I was fooling my self, that I wasn't living my life to it's fullest, and then, I made a commitment to my self: I decided to not ever miss an opportunity again and to never ever let my self down. I decided that I was going to take risks and do whatever it was going to take to change my self, that I was going to accept everything that was going to happen to me. I decided to not care if I was going to be ashamed or ridiculed. All that I cared about was to not ever have regrets. I couldn't live anymore with more regrets and pain. Suddenly, I began to feel afraid of not taking risks. And that made all the difference.

Shortly afterward, I discovered the world of self-help so I began to read a lot of books to improve my self, and that became my passion, my hobby, my mission. I'm always searching for new ways to improve my self. I'm always seeking to be a better person. I'm always looking for the next level of learning.

As Anthonny Robbins says: "The only true security in life comes from knowing that every single day you are improving yourself in some way, that you are increasing the caliber of who you are and that you are valuable to your company, your friends, and your family"

Thanks for reading!

Hello Walid! Welcome to steemit! :)
By the way, I think that your English is very good already.

Thank you so much! :)
I had to do some research to understand the different tenses and how to conjugate the verbs correctly.
