What Are Your Thoughts

Everyone has an opinion and unlike normal, I want to hear yours. There are not that many people using the site right now so unlike some people I am finding the payouts amazing. I love getting a few dollars in votes and getting almost the entire Steemit dollar amount or close to it in Steem at payout.

I am not like most people and I view one Steem as 1 Steem. I do not power down, nor do I cash out my liquid Steem. This is the closest to joining in 2016 that I have the opportunity to partake in. Many people are worried about the value of Steem and that is small minded narrow thinking in my opinion. I am thrilled that the SBD ATM is currently broken and all of my payouts are full Steem. I am here for the community and powering up for that reason. I would start to lose faith if they changed things and started paying us in cash. That would really decrease the value of the platform in my mind. 1 Steem is worth 1 Steem and the only people having any issues are those who do not understand the value of Steem. The value is not in the dollar amount tied to in in the fiat world.

Steem is moving into a new direction and SMT's are coming. The more Steem you own the more of the SMT ALT token you will receive. So everytime you now sell any of your Steem you are not only losing 1 Steem you are also paying the Opportunity Cost on the SMT.

People complaining about the price of Steem in the fiat world are behind on the concept that cryptocurrencies truly are.

1 Steem will always be 1 Steem.

As the world evolves and things continue to progress into the future, fiat will slowly fall off as more and more uses continue to be stacked on top of blockchains.

There is only one concept moving forward that is constant. 1 Steem is 1 Steem. The SMT project is the evolution of the BTC type forks which wreck values in two coins at once. Most of us don't give @ned anything but shit, in reality an SMT when looked at as a valuable form of a HardFork when a new value is added to a current system. SMT's are unlimited and Steem is a blockchain that can handle so much more than we have. We haven't even scratched the surface of what this chain is able to do.

I wonder how things would be if @dan didn't waste time on EOS and he just released a SMT here in place of all of the drama. Those two working together still and SMT's could already be finished as well as many more usable systems.

Greed strikes at the heart of many people. 1 Steem is always going to be 1 Steem minimum but has so much room to turn into many, many, many extra free tokens.

1 dollar will always be worth one piece of paper since 1933

There are a lot more points to this topic. I leave those open for discussion.

When the value was higher the payouts were higher and thus 3 Steem equaled 3 Steem and and 3>1 and thus more payouts. But I get the idea. I’ve only powered up my measly earnings or used them to buy back into the system. Like buying stakes in an autocoring service. Or being able to buy votes (only for posts that I actually thought were worthwhile) and get a good return. But it was really a drop in the bucket because everyone was buying upvotes even for shitty posts so it was really just a way to effectively/efficiently consume SBD — probably just making the vote sellers rich though.

Now my question is. If we believe in the system and really our ultimate goal is to make money or invest. When is it ok to withdraw? How much? Or is that what the SMTs are supposed to be? I forget what they’re all about.

The payout was smaller in Steem when prices were higher. At one point a $20 post earned you 10 SBD and 2 steem, now a $20 post pays out 25 Steem. As we are two who do not powerdown this is the best building time for us and when prices go back up we will have more for the community in voting power.

Yes, you missed the real days of voting buying, the kind that everyone against vote buying used to get. $10 in SBD for a $40 vote or even higher, those high payouts were still only bad if users just cashed out.

I don't really think there is a wrong or right time to cash out, 1 steem is 1 steem but if you only cash out because prices are high you must think prices will go back down. The people who floor me are the ones who bought high and continue to sell low.

SMT's are, to me, social marketing tools. They are an easy way for companies to buy into and distributed into an already established system without 95% of the work involved in a startup. They are not being pushed that way but ultimately that is what they are.

My understanding was that you could always just buy/trade Steem with SBD too and so either way you win...?

Yes but it was only more for the trade if SBD was pumped

I think 1 Steem will be even easier to buy in the near future.

1 steem= 1 love

Agreed! Need to focus on adding value to the platform in order to grow. The rest will come...

Ha, not going to happen. This post is full of logic and sound advice, that is not how you make the big bucks around here.

I don't view STEEM as any monetary value in a fiat based system. Likewise I don't view other worldly currencies compared against each other either. One British pound is one British pound. One euro is one euro. one Dollar is one Dollar. That's it'.

Good way to look at it :)

i think that capitalism is shit.

If someone gave you 1 million dollars tonight what is the 1st thing you would do with it?

make a FARm and then build up to make a mega farm. or invest in cryptos then get high return and then make a megafarm to feed low income families.

comedy EDIT pun intended,(LAMBO YOOOO cos REASONS.) lol

Would that not in fact be true capitalism?

what ? no. it wouldn't. that mega farm would keep investing money into growth to bring food where it is needed, at shamefully low prices.

you think that mega farm would make me ton of money? i doubt that.

your question is confusing.
since when handing out something is called capitalism? please expand

capitalism as i see it, is yes a straight forward progress, but ten step regress at the same time. people need to solve humans basic needs only then people may progress to some other venture.

Charities are at the top of the capitalism foodchain. How would you produce food on the farm? Would you hire people? Would there be managers who are above other workers?

produce food, only essential food, with nutrients and so that it may have a wide variety of choices. or just keep it simple and grow basic foods.

yes hire everyone, even dogs and cats if need be,lol
and no, everyones pay would be the same. and everyone would be equal in the collective.
my truth is this, when individual grows, community grows.
since everyone is payed equally, everyone would have best intentions for that mega farm's growth.

as i see it, goverment doesnt give a crap if you are fed, or that you are freezing all they care about is if you pay taxes.
