Starry night
Hi Steemians,
Finished editing two images from yesterday. I traveled out to one of the darkest places I know of in south-east Norway, at least along the coast...
Still there is a lot of sky glow and light pollution. The Milky way is visible, but there is this huge orange\yellow spot in the horizon. I believe that is caused by city light from Kragerø that's reflecting in a low cloud layer. That's more than 90 km away.
I'm always amazed to see how sensible cameras are in low light situations like this, this image is almost only illuminated by a single light source.
Thanks for reading\watching.
Best regards, Erlend
Flotte bilder :-)
thanks for sharing! Just beautiful, been to Norway this summer and there was almost no night, I will for sure go once again to see this beauty at night!
Hi.
Thanks! :) As long as you get away from the city lights it can be breathtakingly beautiful. You shoud visit Lofoten in January, quite cold but then you can have a go at the aurora as well. That's not normally visible in the southern parts of Norway.
great! thank you for the tip :)
Very cool pictures! :D
Thanks. More images coming soon :)
